The new site acts as a comprehensive one-stop shop for doctors and medical students seeking help, and hosts updated and revised content from RMBF’s online projects Support4Doctors and Money4MedStudents. It also offers signposting to other organisations that can offer assistance, as well as downloadable publications and resources. Responsive design means the site functions on mobile and tablet devices just as easily as a laptop or desktop.
Our core work, of providing financial support to doctors, medical students and their families in times of crisis, remains the same, and the new site aims to make this support easier to access and clearer to understand. The site’s Health & Wellbeing section offers advice articles for doctors on progressing their career, staying well at work, continuing professional development, financial matters and more. The section will be frequently updated with new contributions from experts and qualified advisors.
Studying medicine is a huge undertaking, and no student wants financial worries to deal with on top of the rigours of medical learning. The site’s Medical Students area gives vital guidance on securing funding through grants, bursaries, loans and other sources, and signposts many organisations who can help with student finance. Students can also make their money go further with top tips and budget planning tools, and seek specialist help from the online money adviser.
