We are delighted that MDU’s partnership with RMBF is continuing in 2025. It began in 2021 when the MDU reduced its first-year subscription from £10 to £5 for FY1 members, donating the remaining £5 to charity. RMBF has received over £20,000 from the initiative this year.
Thanks to MDU members, we have been able to support more medical students, doctors and their families through illness, injury or bereavement, offering financial help and confidential support. By supporting our doctors, we strengthen the entire medical community.
Dr Udvitha Nandasoma, the MDU’s Head of Advisory Services, said:
“I’m delighted that the MDU’s support has enabled these charities to help and support so many medical professionals facing challenging personal circumstances. The financial and psychological support is of huge value to recipients”.
“At the MDU, we are always looking for ways to support our members and are proud to partner with organisations who also guide and support medical professionals.”
Steve Crone, Chief Executive of the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund, commented:
“We are very grateful for the support that the MDU and its foundation members have provided which enables us to expand our programmes and increase the level of support we offer to medical students and their families.”
