The current coronavirus pandemic is a difficult time for everyone. We recommend that all doctors and medical students follow guidance compiled on the BMA website and advice from the NHS.
The RMBF offers support for doctors facing hardship due to age, illness, injury, disability or bereavement. If you are already facing hardship, or if the current situation is making existing problems worse, we would urge you to get in touch as you may be eligible for help.
As near as possible, we will be conducting business as usual. Our top priorities are ensuring that our current beneficiaries continue to receive the support they need without interruption; and that new applicants for our help who are eligible receive support as soon as possible. Please understand we may not respond as quickly as usual to non-urgent matters.
We have of course taken the recommended steps regarding home working for our staff and will conduct essential meetings remotely. We are ready to act on government and NHS guidance as it develops, and we are taking every precaution so that our beneficiaries, staff, and volunteers stay as safe as possible.
