Corporate supporters make a real difference to the work of the RMBF. There are so many different ways that you and your employees can help support the future of the medical profession.

We approach each of our corporate support arrangements on a bespoke basis, and are happy to work out an arrangement that suits your company.

The MDU

The MDU logo

We’re delighted to be working again in 2021 with the Medical Defence Union (MDU), the UK’s leading medical defence organisation, to help raise critical funds for medics in need of emotional and financial support.

The MDU is donating half of its Foundation Year 1 members’ £10 subscription to two charities this year. We are delighted to have been chosen as one of the beneficiaries. The other is the Doctors’ Support Network, another worthy charity supporting medics in need.

The MDU not only provides expert guidance and support to its members via a 24/7 helpline, but also has a range of resources available to help doctors with their wellbeing, including a health & wellbeing e-learning course and a peer support programme designed to put members in touch with others who have gone through a medico-legal investigation.

Incision

We were delighted to welcome Incision as corporate supporter in 2020. With the impact that Covid-19 was having, they wanted to support doctors and to work with us. In December, in lieu of sending physical Christmas cards to their members, they donated the money they would’ve have spent on that to the RMBF, and promoted the partnership and our services to their members via an e-card instead.

Since 2010, Incision has developed a number of medical indemnity schemes for specialist surgeons in the UK. They provide their members with a regulated and secure contract of insurance, which is backed by Lloyd’s of London syndicates and S&P “A” rated specialist medical malpractice insurers. Benefits also include a 24/7 medico-legal advice hotline staffed by medically and legally qualified personnel, and risk management services including articles and seminars.

MDDUS

MDDUS LogoAs part of our What’s Up Doc? campaign, leading voices in the medical profession came together at the Royal College of Physicians to discuss supporting doctors under pressure, in an RMBF roundtable event supported by MDDUS. We are delighted that MDDUS have also agreed to continue supporting the RMBF through sponsorship of our work with medical students.

MDDUS is an independent mutual organisation, established in 1902, offering access to expert medico-legal and dento-legal advice and professional indemnity for doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals throughout the UK. MDDUS offers access to professionally trained advisers available to speak to you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, as well as legal support and indemnity against claims of negligence.

Wesleyan

Wesleyan logo

Wesleyan and the RMBF have been working together for over four years on a number of projects, and were the lead sponsor at our 175th Anniversary Luncheon at the House of Lords. Wesleyan also supported our ‘Celebration of the RMBF’ drinks reception at the Museum of the Order of St John, which was attended by over 90 high profile figures from the medical profession. We also look forward to working with Wesleyan as the lead sponsor for our first Volunteer Conference in June 2017.

Wesleyan has been providing financial support to doctors for over 120 years, and today looks after the needs of over 90,000 medical professionals across the UK.
