The RMBF has teamed up with Medic Mentor to set up a hardship fund, aiming to raise £10,000 to support doctors in difficulty during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. We are delighted that they will be encouraging their volunteers, students and supporters to get behind the GoFundMe campaign and help us support doctors on the front line.
Medic Mentor is a non-profit national medical organisation that helps students apply to medical school and offers scholarships to study medicine at university. They have a national network of 4,000 doctor volunteers and teach over 8,000 students from roughly 1,500 schools. As a thank you for donating, they are also offering students and parents free places at their series of “Get into Medicine” conferences once it is again safe to host these.
