Jaya recently set her own impressive challenge – walking 10 kilometres everyday for a week, to support the RMBF.

Walking for a cause

Hi, my name is Jaya, and I’m a Year 12 student. I’m an aspiring medical student with a  passion for supporting doctors who dedicate their whole lives to helping us.

Why the RMBF?

The RMBF is an amazing charity that supports doctors and medical students. As someone who is inspired by the medical profession and the resilience and selflessness of healthcare workers, I wanted to give back to the community that dedicates their lives to helping us.

Raising Money

I loved walking 10 kilometres a day because it was a great way to raise money whilst allowing me to immerse myself in nature.

Whilst walking, I took different routes which I plotted and visualised using Google Maps, whilst tracking my distance with the Apple watch. Whilst trekking through the woods, I was able to to improve my overall physical health and take time to reflect outside.

Advice for others

To anyone thinking of fundraising, I highly encourage you to consider raising money for the RMBF!

This is a great opportunity to contribute to an organisation that plays a vital role in supporting doctors. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to organise events to raise awareness and funds.

It’s a great idea to utilise social media and your connections to spread the word and create a compelling campaign to reach a wider audience.

Thank you Jaya for fundraising to make a vital difference to the lives of doctors and medical students.
