We have all been impacted by the pandemic in different ways, and it continues to be a challenging time. Many of us are feeling anxiety and uncertainty around things opening up, or that we haven’t been able to take proper care of our mental and physical health during lockdowns.
That’s why this October, we’re helping our supporters to focus on self-care and wellbeing. We’ll be sharing advice, resources, and top tips from doctors on how they protect their own wellbeing in these challenging times. And on 17 October, we’ll have a special programme of live-streamed self-care sessions that you can join in at home.
Of course, we know the pandemic has been particularly hard on the medical profession. So we’re also asking you to help doctors and medical students in need by hosting a wellbeing-themed RMBF fundraising event during October.
Host your own self-care fundraiser
Self-care October is all about encouraging self-care and wellbeing while raising vital funds for doctors in their hour of need. All you have to do to get involved is pick an activity themed around self-care and wellbeing, and get fundraising!
You could host a yoga class, get together for a family dinner, or have an arts and crafts afternoon: whatever the activity, your fundraising will make a big difference to the lives of doctors facing hardship
