Winter Fundraising Challenge 2025-2026

Want to win an inside look at life as a doctor and boost your medical school application?

This winter, aspiring medical students can win the chance to meet online with a doctor, discover what life at medical school is really like, and hear about their journey to becoming a specialist.

Join our Winter Fundraising Challenge to stand out in your medical school application and make a meaningful impact!

Why take part in the Winter Fundraising Challenge?

By fundraising to help doctors and medical students in vital need, you’ll have a relevant extra-curricular activity to talk about in your medical school interview, which demonstrates your commitment to the medical community. Best of all – you can make a real difference for those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.

And as a bonus…

Any aspiring medical student who starts fundraising for the RMBF between 1/9/25 and 6/2/26 could win one of two online meet-ups with a real doctor!

Here’s your chance to hear what life as a doctor is really like.

Meet online with a doctor and get the inside story on medical school, career choices, and specialising. One lucky winner will connect with a Registrar in General/Acute Medicine, while a second will chat to a Consultant General and Pancreatic Surgeon!

To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is:

  • Be an aspiring medical student
  • Sign up below
  • Fundraise and transfer funds (any amount) between 1/9/25 and 6/2/26

What do I receive for taking part?

There is also a chance to receive a certificate, letter of recognition to show at your medical school interview, a goody pack (think pens/post-its/highlighters) and a great story for your UCAS form! We just ask that you sign up and fundraise £200 for RMBF. There’s no deadline to hit your £200 target, but you’ll only be in with a chance of winning our Winter Fundraising Challenge if you do some of your fundraising between 01/09/2025 and 06/02/2026.
