On Saturday 10th March, we invite you to attend “Medicine & Me: Your Mental Health as a Doctor”, hosted jointly by the RMBF and the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), in London.
This event gives doctors and medical students the chance to offer their perspective on how to improve mental health care for those working in medicine. It will also provide an outline of current best practice and examine many key issues around mental health from both the doctor’s and patient’s perspective, including regulation, addiction issues and why doctors are reluctant to seek help.
The panel includes our President, Professor Dame Parveen Kumar DBE, Vice-Chair of Trustees Miss Heather Mellows OBE, Trustee Dr Richard Stevens and CEO Steve Crone, as well as Professor Clare Gerada MBE of the Practitioner Health Programme and RSM President Professor Sir Simon Wessely.
Attendance is free for patients, carers and their family members, as well as medical students, trainee doctors and trainee health professionals. For doctors there is an early bird discount before 10th February. RSM members can also book at a reduced rate.
We look forward to a productive day and hope to see you there.
