The RMBF is committed to providing a safe, healthy and productive environment for all our Volunteers and other contacts. All Volunteers should be fit to carry out their roles safely and effectively in an environment which is free from alcohol and drug misuse.

All Volunteers are expected to fulfil their role without any limitations due to the use or after effects of alcohol or drugs (whether prescribed, over the counter or illegal).

If you are prescribed medication, please seek advice from your GP or pharmacist about the possible effect on your ability to carry out your role and advise your RMBF contact as appropriate.  We aim to ensure that the confidentiality of any volunteer experiencing alcohol or drug-related problems is maintained appropriately.

When representing RMBF at external events where alcohol is served please remember that you are expected to remain professional at all times.
