Watch Cathryn’s story

Cathryn had been suffering from a severe debilitating depression since 2001. After successful neurosurgery and overcoming her illness, Cathryn felt she was ready to go back into the workplace and approached the RMBF for support.

She has returned to work as an Accident and Emergency doctor after receiving financial assistance with back to work costs from the RMBF.

After six years of not working in medicine I realised that I was well enough to go back to work, so I approached the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund and asked if they could give me some support to enable me to go back.

If the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund weren’t around, I don’t know, to be honest, how I would have done this.
