These are the deadlines for applying for 2023/24 funding from your student finance provider to ensure it is paid in time. Students applying after these deadlines cannot be guaranteed to have their funding in place by the start of the academic year, but you can apply late – any time up to 9 months from the start of the course (i.e. 1st June 2024) for most students, except those living in Scotland.
England: 19th May 2023 for new students and 23rd June 2023 for returning to students to guarantee that funding is in place for the start of the academic year. Applications close 9 months after start of course.
Wales: 26th May 2023 for new students and 30th June 2023 for returning students. Applications close 9 months after start of course.
Scotland: Recommendation is to apply as early as possible. The Deadline is 31st March 2024.
Northern Ireland: 5th April 2023 for new students and 30th June for returning students. Applications close 9 months after start of course.
If you have not yet applied for funding for 2022/23 you must do so by 1st June 2023.
