Dr David Tinkler is a GP. At the end of 2009 David developed pneumonia and meningitis.

David’s wife Vix was in her final year of medical school. After her daughter Bella was born, she suffered from severe depression.

As a result of both their illnesses, David and Vix encountered significant financial worries as a result of their separate illnesses.

The RMBF helped to cover the cost of nursery and childcare for David and Vix’s two young children. With the help of the RMBF, David was able to continue his GP training. Vix was able to return to medical school, and has since graduated.

The Royal Medical Benevolent Fund supported us by funding our childcare through a very stressful time, which we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to afford.
